Bullet Journaling was created by Ryder Carroll. Sometimes it is called Bujo for short.
It is a productivity method that has been adopted by many as the way to stay organized with family and business schedules and obligations.
To get started all you need is a notebook and a pen. It is very simple and the simplicity of it is what makes it so great.
My favorite notebook is the is the Leuchtturm1917 Notebooks Medium A5 dotted.
Some people love to use Moleskin Notebooks
The pens that I use are the Staedtler pens
I have the 10 but am certainly on my way to getting the 36. Again if you have a particular brand that you love, use them.
Bullet journals enable you to do all kind of logging or listing, known in Bujo world as rapid logging.
You may use it for all kinds of tasks, goals, and projects.
- Daily tasks: here is an example from my journal where I was posting a daily affirmation.
- Monthly projects: here is an example where I was practicing my handwriting using the alphabet.
The way you can use your Bullet Journal is endless.
Another part of Bullet Journaling is migrating.
According to Ryder Carroll site:“Migrating content is a cornerstone of Bullet Journaling.”
To use migrating in your Bujo, you decide if you want a task that you did not finish to carry over to the next month or are you going to let go of that item altogether. If you have completed the task then cross it out. The codes in Bujo world are called a signifiers.
The signifiers can be whatever choose. Examples could be:
- * important
- > move forward
- ! ideas
